Doro oshima tsumugi silk is an especially fine luxury silk that is made in the Kagoshima prefecture. It is an ikat textile which means the threads are dyed before the silk is loomed. The rich brown color is created through the use of mud in the process. This is a very handsome and sophisticated kimono that is 44 inches long and has a shoulder seam distance of 26 inches. The vintage condition is very good; the lining shows aging.
To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend treating it with care. Simple maintenance practices, can effectively preserve the longevity of your favorites. We encourage you to refer to the silk care recommendations. Should you have to launder your Kiku item dry clean only.
