Description
Meisen silk is an ikat weave where the thread is dyed in patterns with different colors.  Great precision  and skill is required to weave the treated threads to create the design.  As evidenced by this bright yellow and black jacket, vintage meisen silk usually has a very modern appearance and as a result, has always been very popular.   The vintage condition is very good with some spots on the lining, the length is 27 inches and the span between shoulder seams is 24 inches.
