This is an exquisitely made kimono that features hand painted yuzen fans that have gold stenciling. The design matches beautifully at the seams which is an indication of a very high level of artisanship. The pale blue silk has bokashi gradations of color. It was a furisode kimono with flowing long sleeves created for an unmarried woman, the equivalent of a ballgown, for very formal events. It is a unique work of art that needs to back in the world admired and appreciated for the time and workmanship of the skilled artisans who created it. You will not find another like it. The vintage condition is very good; there is a small stain on the right sleeve. The length is 44 inches long and the span between shoulder seams is 25 inches.
