Description
A tomesode kimono is made from black crepe silk with a hand painted design along the hem line that flows across the seams.  It is worn by a married woman to formal affairs and is very high ranked socially.  This is a reversible scarf with exuberant hand painted designs on both sides.  These abstract design evoke feathers and branches.  There is  a substantial amount of gold leaf in the hand painted design.  The vintage condition  is excellent.  The dimensions are 79" by 13.5".   You will be noticed and envied when you wear this one-of-a-kind piece of art.
