The making of the silk for this vintage kimono involved complex  and time consuming dyeing processes to achieve the pleasing design.  Bokashi is the Japanese art of dyeing that creates light to dark variation of a dye.  It requires a great deal of skill and time.  The dyeing of this unlined, light weight vintage kimono  was a complicated process that involved preserving areas of white, while achieving the green gradations.  Unlined and light weight, this kimono will brighten your wardrobe  in all seasons.  The vintage condition is excellent, the length is 44 inches long and the span between shoulder seams is 27 inches.
