Shibori is the ancient Japanese dye resistant process which is much more complex than today's tie-dying. Many hundreds of tufts of silk are hand wound with string to create a unique design and an elastic three dimensional fabric. This gray silk scarf is a one of a kind work of wearable art. The vintage condition is excellent and the measurements are 8 inches by 54 inches.
