This vintage haori kimono jacket features beautiful damask weave silk with a raised design and hand painted (yuzen) maple leaves with artistic graduations of color on a variegated pink and white background (bokashi dyed). This unique, wearable art is the creation of master artisans, whose skills are not being passed down. The refashioned sleeves have modernized this timeless jacket by returning the sleeve size to that of the centuries old kosode, small sleeve kimono. The hand painted lining is so artful that the jacket is can be worn inside out, giving it a two for one value. The vintage condition is excellent. The length is 30 inches long and the width between shoulder seams is 26 inches.
