The hand painting on this celebration scarf is delightful. It boasts a traditional design with abstract pine forests in green and gold leaf, a fan with hexagons with flowers outlined in gold leaf and backgrounds of more gold leaf with oranges, blues and purple colors. The scarf is made from a faded black crepe silk. The lining is from the sleeves of the tomesode kimono with samurai or family crests (mons). This kimono had five mons and therefore had the highest ranking. The vintage condition is excellent and the dimensions are 77.5" by 13". You will feel like royalty when you wear this celebration scarf to a party or when you just want the feel of silk around your shoulders.
