An obiage is a kimono accessory that is hidden from view, yet many hours were spent making this silk sash a unique work of art. Shibori details requiring intricate hand tied knots overlay pink and turquoise silk which involved a separate dyeing process for each color. It measures 11 inches by 66 inches and is in excellent vintage condition.
