Description
The Kiku chrysanthemum design is expertly hand-painted onto a silk kimono in a soft pale turquoise color. The intricate flowers are accentuated with delicate gold leaf outlines and embroidered gold braid. This kimono was originally a furisode with long, flowing sleeves, but has been refashioned into the more practical and comfortable shape of a kosode, a style from centuries ago.  The vintage condition is excellent, the length is 44 inches and the span between should seams is 26 inches.
