Refashioned Shibori Haori Jacket-Beige and Purple

Hand-tied shibori whispers louder than words. A one-of-a-kind silk kimono jacket  that's as much art as it is wardrobe.

• Artisan silk  Shibori is an ancient tie-dyeing process whereby thousands of tiny knots are hand tied to create a three dimensional fabric.  Each color required the masking  with a rice paste of the areas not to be colored before setting the dye for the new color.   The entire design was completed before the silk was steamed and cut.  The amazing skill that produced this unqiue jacket can be seen in the seams where the lines meet perfectly. 
• Universal Sizing   The jacket is 29 inches long.  The distance between the dropped shoulder seams is 25 inches and the distance between the back seam and the sleeve hem is 24 inches.
• Vintage Condition is excellent.
•  Reversible The silk lining with its abstract design creates a completely different look when the jacket is worn inside out.
