Emerald Green Silk Scarf-Gold Embroidery

A damask weave silk, patterned in a diamond design of flowers, provides the background for a brilliant emerald green and variegated yellow celebration scarf made from a vintage furisode high ranking kimono.  The design includes gold stencil, gold braid and an exquisitel, hand painted pink iris.  The decorated silk would have taken months to weave, dye and hand paint before it was sewn into a very expensive kimono.  Measuring 6.5 inches in width and 92 inches in length, this scarf exudes luxurious sophistication.
