Shibori is an ancient Japanese art that involves tying thousands of knots by hand to create a dye resistant design. A month or more would have been spent by master artisans creating the silk to be sewn into this haori kimono jacket. Amazing skill was required to match the lines so perfectly along the back seam. The hand painted lining is so beautiful that this jacket can be worn inside out, creating a completely new look. The vintage condition is excellent, the length is 28 inches long and the width between shoulder seams is 26 inches.
